Room Makeover

As you probably know by now, Owen and Mason are REALLY into guitars and rock n roll stuff right now. I found this super-cute bedding and HAD to have it! I made the mistake of telling the kids it was coming in the mail and they could hardly wait. It finally arrived and they were so excited to open the box!

There are lots of different rock n roll "things" all over the bedding, so here are the boys telling us all about what they see. You'll hear them say "I WANT IT LOUD" which is their way of saying it's the volume control. This is what they do to us in the car if the music is too quiet! They are very familiar with the knob that makes the music LOUD!

Here are some super cute pictures of them SO PROUD of their new bedding! The first few pics are of the first night it arrived, so the walls are still the same color. BUT, since then we've carefully taped and painted awesome new stripes on their walls. Granna and Granddaddy came to help out while we took on this project...never let anyone tell you painting stripes is easy! Granddaddy patiently helped Mommy tape very precise stripes while Granna entertained the kids. Daddy lucked out and was at work during all this! I think the stripes look so AWESOME! It really sets off the new bedding. We're all really happy with how it turned out!

Room Makeover!

My kids love to sing!

The kids have been really into their new guitars they got for Christmas. Owen's guitar plays songs from the radio, and recently we heard "All Star" come on. Random, I know...I don't think I've heard that song on the radio in over five years at least! My smarty pants not only recognized the song (his guitar does not sing the words) but knew exactly which color button he had to push to hear it play. Since then, both Owen and Mason took a special liking to the "blue button" because they heard it on the radio. Well, now we know the words and it is just too cute to watch how Mason turns the word "mold" into 3 syllables just like the song. Here's a video as we were jamming out in the car:

Another thing they LOVE to sing to are the buttons from Hallmark that play different songs. We have a couple of Christmas ones that they fully enjoyed throughout the entire season. Every now and then they bust out singing their Christmas songs (they each claimed a specific button, so they feel ownership of the song it plays). They did it again a month or two after Christmas and I realized I never got it on video during the holidays. So, without further ado, here are a couple of Christmas songs courtesy of Owen and Mason. Happy Spring! :)
